Summers & Wed Night Spiritual Formation

  • This summer (July 11th & Aug 1st) we are doing two BBQ Potlucks for Wed Night Spiritual Formation. Although there will not be a main teaching time, the value is to simply hang out and be community together.

    So let’s eat together this Wednesday Night at the Townes NEW HOME. There is a pool, so feel free to bring your swimsuit.

    What: Wednesday Night Spiritual Formation
    When: 8/1/12
    Time: 6:30p-8:00p
    Where: The Townes NEW HOME
    Address: 1506 E. Brookdale Place. Fullerton, CA 92831
    Bring: Please bring something for the BBQ potluck (see below) and bring a swimsuit if you want to swim.

    This Wed (Aug 1st) the dinner will be Mexican themed. Kevin will be providing the meat (Carne asada and pollo asada). If you can bring something within the Mexican theme that would be great.

    Last name = what you bring
    A-G = Drinks (soda, juice, water, horchata, agua fresca)
    I-R = Snacks/Side dish (rice, beans, chips, guacomole, ceviche, taquitos, etc)
    S-Z = Desserts/Sweets (doesn’t necessarily have to be Mexican dessert, but churros and flan would be greatly appreciated)

I just got an email from Carol Phillips and she said that she can bring Chips, Guacamole, and Strawberries.

 

For some reason it wasn't letting her comment in the box.  You guys might have to sign into LIVEFYRE to comment, I just sign in through facebook, but I don't let Livefyre automatically post to my fb wall.

 sarahtowne Hey Sarah, I don't think that too many people are coming to this one.  So far it looks like it's the Philips, Padillas, you guys, me, Crystal, and Elvia.  So that's 15 total.  I haven't heard from Annie or Mo yet, nor the Andersons. 

 

Would you mind doing a spanish rice type of thing or beans?

I'll make a copycat chipotle rice recipe (bc all of my past attempts at true spanish rice have been failures. Boo.) ... I'll also cook some black beans.
