Job Title: Volunteer Staff Coordinator

What is your role at Solidarity? I have a plethora or roles around here. A recent one is partnering with Kevin in church development with the Lifestyle Committee and volunteer coordinating. I also handle the information from Solidarity and how it goes out to the public (i.e. Website, PHP list, donor mailings, etc.). In the office I oversee the Staff Office and create a well running environment for work to take place and support the program directors by assisting them in Center duties and responsibilities as needed (all if this is according to my job description…I do my best to keep up with it).

What is the best part of your role? As far as my job role goes, I like it because it has given me great opportunities to work along side other people and get to know many of the different areas of ministry we have going on around here.

What is your favorite movie? My new favorite movie is Hot Rod. We just watched it with the teens and one the lifestyle groups. I never stopped laughing.

What reality TV show would you be on and why? I’m not sure I would. I hear the camera adds 10 pounds to everyone and I don’t think I am willing to take that risk for all the world to see.

Where is the next place you would like to go? In all seriousness, I would like to go everywhere…I want to be a world traveler. However, contrary to what you may have originally thought, an office assistant’s pay doesn’t allow for world travel. So, I guess I would just like to take a trip back to Colorado and visit my family and friends. I don’t get to see them too often.

What makes you laugh/cry?  I usually do a pretty god job of making myself laugh. I am hilarious…seriously. But I don’t want to take all of the “LOL” credit. I work with a ton of outrageously funny people at Solidarity and all of the kids crack me up too. Never a dull moment around here. What makes me cry?! Maybe a better question is what doesn’t make me cry. I have tears pouring down my face all the time.
