Organizations

  • There are some amazing organizations out there that God has allowed Solidarity the privilege of partnering with…

Mission Increase Foundation (MIF): MIF’s perspective and understanding of fundraising has radically changed the way Solidarity approaches donorship.  Based off of a value of transformational giving, MIF has challenged Solidarity to see fundraising as a way help draw others closer to Jesus through the process of giving.  It’s been a hard transition within the Solidarity community, but over the years Solidarity has shed the value of asking for money for the sake of keeping the organization afloat.  Instead, as an organization, Solidarity has legitimately  adopted the value of asking for partnerships as a way to help others grow in their dependence, intimacy, and trust in God.

Christian Community Development Association (CCDA):  Solidarity became an official member of CCDA in 2006.  CCDA’s stance on the immigration reform and Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) has influenced Solidarity in organizational shaping ways.  The Our Children Initiative is Solidarity’s participation in comprehensive immigration reform and every initiative in SolidLocal is run through the lens of ABCD.

Urban Youth Workers Institiute (UYWI): UYWI is a network of churches, non-profit organizations, and Christ center communities who have chosen to walk with the urban youth in America.  Every year UYWI has regional conferences called Reload, that train and equip the local communities on how to work with youth.  Since 2003 Solidarity has been attending UYWI events and for the past few years the Solidarity Staff have been asked to speak in workshops, be on topic panels, and facilitate group discussions.
