I am currently enrolled at Fullerton College and I’m working on my general education before I transfer to Cal State Fullerton. My family is kind of hard to describe but like any other family- we need every part of our body in order to function. My father’s name is Adrian and my mother’s name is Martha. I have three siblings, Maggie, Israel, and the little one Daniel. I think we’re all a little crazy but we’re fun I guarantee it!  I was born in Bakersfield California, but I am not from there- I’m from Fullerton and was raised here so this is home.  I live in east part of Fullerton in the Garnet Neighborhood.  I’ve been living here for over 10 years now and enjoy it.

Three years ago, I was invited to a friend’s house once and people from Solidarity happened to be there that night and I was then invited to this thing called Alpha (Youth Church) on Monday Nights in my own neighborhood that I never even knew about. So my sister Maggie and I showed up one night and have been going ever since.  I have been on staff for six months as an AmeriCorps member and my position at Solidarity is working in community development. I work with the parents of the neighborhood to get involved with programs. I love hanging out with neighbors and developing relationships with them.

What is your favorite TV show? Ah, this constantly changes but as of right now Modern Family has really made it #1 at the top of my list.

If Solidarity were a mode of transportation, what type would it be? A Bus or a shuttle – only because I picture a large amount of people, big and small, of all ages, and all a part of the Solidarity family.

If Solidarity were an emotion, what would it be and why? I think Solidarity could be several types of emotions but love would be the best on because of love Solidarity is moved to help others.

What has Solidarity helped you discover about yourself? There is always something I can offer.  I can volunteer even if I’m broke.  Well in other words if I want to love others, there are several ways I can do it.
